The Mind and Emotions of Health

Updated: Mar 11

According to well established medical evidence, 75-90% of ALL doctor visits are due to conditions related to emotional and mental stress! Let that sink in for a moment. The very health issue that brought you to this place is most likely related to the things that happened in your heart and mind.

Johns Hopkins School of Medicine researchers discovered that corticosterone (stress hormone) not only has the ability to damage the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis, creating major disruptions in the endocrine system, but also change gene expression, leading to methylation dysfunction. This is only one example of why it is so important to take the time to consider our childhood experiences, state of our relationships, family, school and work - all factors that activate our emotions and stress responses. But if that isn't enough, we are also reminded about it in ancient texts as well...

Above all that thou guardest keep thy heart; For out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23

The video below is an introduction into the correlation between our childhood experiences and health problems. It is also an invitation to walk in wellness in body, soul and spirit!
